arriving By plane

From Venice Marco Polo airport:

Option 1 (recommended) · €

Take the Alilaguna, a direct public boat from the airport to San Marco, Rialto, Fondamenta Nuove, Le Guglie • more info here

Tickets can be bought at the airport or online here (there are online discounts if bought more than 30 days before)

Option 2 · €€€

Take a water taxi to your accommodation in Venice

Option 3 · €

Take a bus to Piazzale Roma and then from there you can walk or take a vaporetto • see section “transports in Venice”

arriving By train

From the train station Venezia Santa Lucia:

Option 1

You can walk directly in the city to reach your destination

Option 2

Take a vaporetto (€€) or a water taxi (€€€) • see section “Transports in Venice"

arriving By Car

Cars cannot drive in Venice, you will need to park your car with the following options:

Option 1 · €€

Arrive at Piazzale Roma where you can leave the car in one of these two covered parkings:

From there you can walk, take the vaporetto or take a water taxi • see section “Transports in Venice"

Option 2 · €

Park at Tronchetto Parking • more info here

From there you can take the vaporetto line 2 to arrive directly to the center of Venice (ex. San Marco, Rialto, Zattere)

In Venice you can move around with the following options:

Option 1 · Walk

It's free, but not great when you have luggages (there are a lot of bridges).

Option 2 · Vaporetto · €€

Vaporetto are public boats (equivalents to bus) with stops around all the city.
